Damsel is a new American upcoming fantasy movie starring Millie Bobby Brown, Nick Robbinson, Angela Bassett, and Shohreh Aghdashlooo, Robin Wright, Ray Winstone.
The film is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and the script is written by Dan Mazeau. The most exciting part of the movie is the genre of this movie is action, adventure and fantasy.
What is the Damsel Movie about?
Damsel means a young unmarried woman. This movie is about a Damsel who agrees to marry a prince from the royal family, but she doesn’t know what’s coming for her; she was recruited by the royal family to pacify a bloody-thirsty dragon to repay their ancient debt. Later she is thrown into a pit, and she discovers that she is not going to become a princess and learns that she is just a sacrifice to appease the dragon. She tries to survive for a long time and waits for someone to save her; soon, she realises no one’s coming for her aid and that she should fight and save herself.

The damsel was announced in March 2020. Juan Carlo Fresnadillo was set as director, and Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are the producers of the movie. The script was written by Dan Mazeau. Millie Bobby Brown signed up for the role of Princess Elodie, along with being an executive producer for the film, in November 2020, with a budget of 60 – 70 million dollars for the film. In April 2022, Angela Bassett, Nick Robbinson, Robin Wright, Ray Winstone and others joined the cast.
Damsel Movie shooting Location:
They started shooting the film in February 2022, and it lasted till July 1, 2022; the shooting took place in Tomar, a municipality in the santarém district of Portugal.
When is the Damsel movie releasing
The film will be released by Netflix on October 13, 2023. Netflix has refused Damsel to be released on big screens. It is unlikely that we will get to see the Damsel movie in theatres.
